An informal gathering of people that enjoy violets. Many aspects were taken into consideration - botanics to medicinal use. Violets in literature, Violetta in the Verdi Opera, and plenty more!

Helene also gave a very lively talk about the Toulouse Violets and the impressive work that has been done in all the area to promote the Toulouse Parma Violet. The story has it that Violets were bought to Toulouse by a soldier returning from Italy after one of the Napoleonic wars! In one way or another Italy is always in on the scene where Violets are concerned!

Talking of Toulouse it seems more or less decided that the next meeting will take place there in 2018. My suitcase is ready!
